@qqaisarr,

Thank you for engaging in the community. A very good day to you. I see that you require information about the type of warranty that you have and an explanation about it. I will be glad to assist you and let’s get right to it. Terrific observations and great diagnosis made. It is amply appreciated.

Let me gather some information for better clarity to assist you correctly:

  • Did you get an email in this regard or any information about your warranty?

I will send you a private message to assist you with the next course of action. Check your forum private message box in the upper right corner next to the bell icon.

Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂

Hi,

I see the following under my laptop warranty coverage. Can someone just explain what is meant by "Global Coverage"?

I was just told on HP online chat support that this laptop doesn't have international warranty so I have to ship it back to same country where I bought it 4 months ago.

The description you posted looks fairly typical of a HP base warranty.

If the system was marketed in the country you are in, you should get warranty support in that country - details are here (click). I don't work for HP, so I can't make a ruling as to what is allowed.

If the system was not marketed in the country you are in, you will almost certainly have to ship it back to the country of purchase for support. If you have to ship the device, make sure you note on any customs paperwork that it is going for repair; that will hopefully exempt the laptop from any duty or tax.
