Hello, I really would like to know what happens if I add a higher ram in the HP Stream laptop 14 ax010ca. Will it overheat the computer or something or will it just not work? Are there ways to make it higher then a past recommended 4gb to upgrading to 8gb. Also once you take the sticky pads off underneath to get to the screws will the sticky pads just go back on or do I have to get something to stick them back on?
I have not been able to upgrade to the newest Windows. I do not want to buy a new lap top and I really hope they make more laptops with the nice bright blue as it's something I think would really make someone just wanna buy a laptop just cause of the bright colors!

Your model has the Intel Celeron N3060 and only supports 8GB Ram max.
Intel Spec Sheet for Intel Celeron N3060
It also uses DDR3L, most memory makers only offer 16GB in 2 x 8GB Sticks, and as you only have 1 RAM slot to use 8 GB is your limit. Also I have only seen 1 listing for a 1 x 16GB DDR3L Stick at around $275, it's priced like a special order item.
Where as an 8GB Stick is Under $20.
Any time I have removed the feet from my Streams I place them on the bottom shell next to the grove they fit in, as they stay sticky ( provided you do not allow dust and dirt to get stuck to them). Before I ever open my Laptops I wipe them down with a mild dish soap and water, to make sure the body is clean and free grime and grease that builds up over time. Also I make sure the micro fiber cloth is only damp so no water gets inside, and allow the body to dry before I open.
If you keep the sticky part of the feet clean you can place them back on the body and they will stay attached.
HP has a part number listed in the Service Manual for the feet, however last I checked they were not in stock, and as your model is an older model replacement parts will become harder to find.
