Product: HP Pavilion - 15-au123cl
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

What is maximum RAM for HP Pavilion 15-au123cl? When I run 'WMIC Memphysical" from the Command Prompt, my machine says 32 Gb (after converting from Kb)...  Many online sites say 16 Gb is maximum capacity, but there are other saying 32 Gb.  Thanks for your time!

 

P.S.  Currently it still has the 12 Gb that was installed when I purchased it in 2017.

Theoretically, it should support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

 

Officially, chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB.

 

HP Pavilion Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

I cannot find any posts where anyone installed 2 x 16 GB of memory in the 15-au100 model series, so you can either play it safe or go with what Windows indicates.

Crucial says your machine supports 16GB max. You can use their RAM:
