Dear HP help team,
I'm using HP EliteBook 8460p | 2nd Generation and Specification are below in the image.
So already have 8GB (4x2) of ram, I'm trying to upgrade my ram capacity. can I upgrade to 16GB?
and I want to know about what is the Max memory capacity of this module. Please give a reply soon as possible.

I saw in the HP site also it saying can upgrade to 16GB it means (8x2), and i checked with the wmic command it saying like this.. I'm confused please clarify me.

and one more question : my ram is 1333mhz can i upgrade to1600mhz?

You're very welcome.
Yes, you can install an 8 GB memory chip in each slot and have a total of 16 GB.
You can install DDR3 or DDR3L-1600 memory in your notebook, but it is only going to run at 1333 MHz because that is the max speed any Intel 2nd generation core processor can run the memory at.

Hi:
I have never done a project like that, so I have no first hand experience.
If you have not tried a less invasive procedure first, I recommend you do that.
Clean the fan and heatsink vents with a can of compressed air.
Put a flat toothpick or some other object that fits between the fan intake grill so the fan doesn't spin when you spray the can of air at it.
If the fan spins too fast, it can wreck the bearings.
If you have already done that, I suppose you could clean all of the heat sink contact points and the graphics and processor surfaces and reapply thermal paste and hope that improves things.
