Hi:

 

Your notebook has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 8 GB of DDR4 memory.

 

See chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide for the memory upgrade info:

 

HP Notebook - 15-ba040ca (Touch) (ENERGY STAR) - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support

 

The product specs indicate that your notebook already has 12 GB of memory, so you can remove the 4 GB memory chip and install an 8 GB memory chip in its place.
