Hi. I have HP Pavilion Notebook 15-dp0xxx with Intel core i7-8750H, NVIDIA 1060 Max-Q 3gb and 8gb of RAM. Laptop run great but when it comes to Adobe After Effects, my RAM just gets used in seconds and the program becomes not stable anymore.
I can't find any info on the web about my laptop upgradeability except for Amazon's buying page where it says that 8gb of RAM is maximum memory... I don't really want to believe it so I figured I'll ask here in a forum. Does my laptop actually support 8gb of RAM maximum? If it does support more, what is the maximum memory supported and what kind of RAM should I get? (Frequency)
Thank you!

With back cover removed, laptop looks like this inside:
RAM modules circled in red
There are two memory slots and you are using one slot with an 8 gig module. The module is DDR4-2666 SO-DIMM and the 8 gb module has HP Part No. 937236-855. The Manual says 2 x 8 = 16 gigs is the max but well known and thoroughly proven it will run 2 x 16 = 32 gigs just fine. If you use After Effects regularly and heavily you might want to consider 32 gigs of RAM.
This link gives you the option to buy a second single 8 gig module or a pair of 16 gig modules for 32 gigs.
