I'm about to open up my laptop to replace the thermal paste, but I would also like to replace the CMOS/BIOS battery so I don't have to do it again later on as my laptop is already 5+ years old. Does anybody know what battery it is?  Can anyone point me to a resource?

Hi,

The battery is a CR2032 and you can find in any electronics store.

It is not the easiest task to replace the battery, as you need to remove the motherboard.

On page 78 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the battery
