Hello,

I'm just curious what is the largest HDD (or SSD) AND RAM my laptop can handle. 


Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 720 @ 1.60GHz 1.60 GHz
Installed memory (RAM) 8.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit OS, x64-based-provessor

It is DDR2 memory so 8 gigs is the most you are going to be able to install:

 

Service manual

 

I have never seen an 8 gig DDR2 SO-DIMM module in any event. That does not mean they do not exist but even 4 gig DDR2 SO-DIMM is very very pricey per gig. 

 

Your storage is SATA so you can install any sized (capacity) drive you can find and I believe they still max out at 2 TB for spinner drives 9.5 mm thick and you can actually find larger 2.5 inch SATA SSDs but you would have to mortgage the farm to buy one.
