HP 14-dk1000 Laptop PC

A friend of mine asked me to take a look at her HP laptop, which has been running very slow. I installed the HP Support Assistant application in it, in order to detect its running system and to obtain other useful support information about it. Then, I opened this application, and found out that the computer's model number is HP 14-dk1000. I also used the System Information application that is built into Windows, to find out that it has 4 GB of RAM installed. I think that, since modern applications today are using a lot of system resources, this small amount of installed RAM might have something to do with the computer's slow performance. In fact, I defragmented the computer twice, and used a free trial version of a top-rated antivirus software, as well as the Control Panel, to remove a potential malware program from it; yet, its performance still did not improve very much.  So, I think that upgrading its RAM would make a more significant difference on speed and performance. Yet, I cannot find information about the maximum amount of RAM that this PC could be upgraded to. Could anyone please help me with this?

I was browsing around through the forum, skimming through posts with similar questions regarding upgrading RAM for other models of HP laptop computers, when I found out about the website Crucial. The Crucial company claims to be memory experts. Are they? I ask because, although their website looks very professional, I am not familiar with their products or services. According to a product lookup that I conducted on their site, the laptop I am talking about can support a memory upgrade in order to increase its RAM to a maximum of 16GB, and can use 4GB RAM cards or 8GB RAM cards. You can find this information at: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp-compaq/hp-14-dk1000. Is it correct? If so, is there a place in an HP manual for this particular machine that I can use to verify that it is?

According to the manual, the memory sticks are not user accessible

The following video shows, at 5:37,  one memory slot and where a second one might have been if it had been added during the solder stage.  The video shows how difficult it is to disassemble, but it can be done.
