What is the best ssd for my 2540p?

Looking for a 250gb or bigger, i am currently running a hdd in the optical bay as a result of the original ssd failing, now i want to replace it as it has made the notebook really slow....

This is a vintage machine. It uses 1.8 inch hard drives or SSDs in the main bay.  Also can take a 2.5 inch drive in an optical bay adapter. It does not have an M.2 slot.

1.8 inch SSDs bigger than 250 gig are going to be hard to locate I'm afraid but would be the best performance. This one I found used on eBay UK:
