My laptop is running very slow and want to upgrade the ram. I Want more information on expandable Ram capacity.

[EDIT:] According to one source, your HP 14s-cf3046tu laptop is upgradeable to 64GB (2 x 32GB) and another source says up to 32GB (2x16GB) of DDR4 2666MHz PC4-21300 SODIMM 260-pin RAM. -Information is challenging to come by.

 

Easiest method to find out for sure what your Max RAM is:

 

1. Win+R starts Run, and then type cmd

2. Type/copy & paste the following command:

wmic memphysical get maxcapacity

 

3. The number obtained by running the command is the maximum RAM supported by your notebook, and the unit is KB.

 

For example: 67108864 (KB) ÷ 1024 ÷ 1024= 64GB (which I hope you'll find!)

 

Depending on your max RAM, personally, I would recommend Samsung M471A4G43MB1-CTD 32GB (you will need two sticks), as seen here, for example: Samsung 32GB DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666MHZ 260 PIN SODIMM 1.2V CL 19 Laptop Ram Memory Module M471A4G43MB1... or: Samsung M471A2K43CB1-CTD 16GB (you need two sticks) as found here, for example: Sam Original 16GB (1x16GB) DDR4 2666MHz PC4-21300 SODIMM 2Rx8 CL19 1.2v 260-PIN Laptop Notebook Memo..., or if you are interested in 2 x 8GB: Samsung M471A1K43CB1-CTD 8GB (you need two sticks) as found here, for example: Samsung M471A1K43CB1-CTD 8GB DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666MHZ, 260 PIN SODIMM, 1.2V, CL 19 laptop ram memory ....

 

Crucial 32GB RAM: Crucial RAM 32GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 Laptop Memory CT32G4SFD8266 at Amazon.com

Crucial 16GB RAM: Crucial RAM 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Laptop Memory CT16G4SFRA32A at Amazon.com

Crucial 8GB RAM: Crucial RAM 8GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 Laptop Memory CT8G4SFRA266 : Electronics (amazon.com)
