Hi,
I am planning to upgrade RAM in my laptop, Could someone please tell me what is the maximum RAM capacity of my laptop model HP 15-BE012TU.
When I checked with dos command "memphysical get maxcapacity" it is showing 33554432(I guess around 33.5 GB if the returned value is considered in Kilo bytes), my OS is windows10 and when I searched with its mother board type 81EB on line, in some sites it is showing 16 GB max.
Here I checked with local service center in India, they said 8GB is the maximum for this model.
My laptop has dual memory slots, by default I got 4 GB with this model in single slot.
Could someone guide me what capacity RAM gives optimum performance on this model, and what maximum capacity it can take.

Hi:
Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.
https://www.crucial.in/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-15-be012tu
The max is 2 x 8 GB of memory.

Thanks Paul for sharing the link, yes I also referred the crucial website before posting the query ,it is showing 16GB (2X8GB) but I am not clear why DOS command is returning max memory 33.5 GB ,in addition I would like to share some important update I have inserted 16GB(single piece) RAM from my other laptop in 15-BE012TU in single slot as it is working but I am not sure about the implications and whether it is working to the fullest extent or not as there is a chance even if we put the higher size it will function up to its limits , hence I have removed after couple of minutes. As there is no exclusive HP user manual available, really it is quite difficult for me to know the exact specifications. In the future HP should release separate user manual for each model in pdf versions instead of single user manual for multiple, on top of this they should specify clearly the Maximum RAM capacity and other important details like M.2 slot availability etc.

You're very welcome.
If you put another memory chip along with the 16 GB chip, and the notebook works, and Windows reports whatever amount of memory you added, then it should take 32 GB.
It is either going to work or it won't. There won't be any degree of how it works...it will work fine, or not at all.
Since I don't work for or represent HP, you may want to direct your suggestion to create individual manuals for each model to the HP executive team at the link below.
