Hi,

I would like to upgrade the RAM memory of my laptop from 8GB to 16GB.

Unfortunately I am unable to find if this upgrade is supported. I have used hp support, several memory finders and the big memory brands, but still couldn't find a clear answer.

What I found so far is that a compatible memory bank should comply to DDR4 2133MHz SO-DIMM PC4-17000 260 pins. But what I cannot find is if my laptop supports 16GB.  The laptop has only 1 slot with a 8GB RAM so in case of an upgrade this module needs to be exchanged with a 16GB variant. The processor is from AMD.

Thanks for all your help in advance!

Stijn

Here is the service manual:

Unfortunately your laptop will not support a single 16 gb module. You already have the memory maximized.

Hi Huffer,

Many thanks for your quick reply!

Although this is not the answer I was hoping for ... at least it's clear.

Once again thanks,

Stijn
