Hi,
First of all, I'm a novice on computer level, but quite handy and eager to learn.
I want to replace/change my current RAM memory "6,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)" (which I think is devided into 2x 3GB, because 'total memory slots 2, used memory slots 2, free memory slots 0')
I found that with my motherboard "Hewlett-Packard 227F (U3E1)", I can have a maximum of 16GB RAM (so 2x 8GB?).
What I can't find anywhere is what the maximum speed of the new RAM can be.
I'm asking, because I found "Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8GB", but I have to choose between a 'red' or 'black' version and select a speed: "1333/1600/1866/2133/2400"MHz. The pricedifference is not huge, but I'm also on a small budget, so don't wont to 'buy speed that won't be used'.
I don't know if it is important for choosing, but my processor is "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz, 2401MHz, 2core(s)"
secondary question is if I can replace the HDD by any size SSD HDD (for example a "Verbatim Vi550 S3, 2.5" Sata III" with a 1TB or 2TB capacity.)
Thank you for your help

the processor specifications tell you what frequency it supports and as you can see it is DDR3L-1600.
Intel® Core™ i5-4210U Processor
About the disk you can use any SSD disk of the size you want 1 Tb, 2 Tb or more.
