Hello!

So i was wondering, i'm planning to upgrade my SSD, but the problem is i don't know which one to pick.

They come is various size, 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, or 2TB

I was wondering, does my device supports higher sized SSD like 1 or 2 TB?

I also wonder does my device have more than one SSD slot, or i have to replace the existing one to upgrade?

Many thanks ^^

Yes, you would have to do that.

I gave you a product recommendation for a replacement M2 SATA SSD earlier--one of the Western Digital Blue SA510 M.2 drives in a storage capacity that meets your needs and budget.

Hi:

I can't find any specs on your PC in the parts list.

HP PartSurfer

Does it have a M.2 SATA SSD or M.2 NVMe SSD and what model AMD processor does it have?

HP Recommended

Oh i'm really sorry about that!

Let's see...

From what i can see at the task manager, my device equipped with SSD SATA by default

And my AMD Processor is AMD Ryzen 5 3500 U

This is what task manager told me

Thank you ^^

You're very welcome.

You should be able to install up to a 2 TB M.2 SATA SSD in your notebook.

The drive capacities listed in the service manual are just what HP offered, not the maximum capacity supported.

Something like this:  You can buy in 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB capacities.

Amazon.com: Western Digital 2TB WD Blue SA510 SATA Internal Solid State Drive SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s,...

Thank you so much! ><

I have another question

Does my device have a second unoccupied SSD slot? if it doesn't, what should i do in order to upgrade the only SSD slot i have?

Do i need a create backup important stuffies with hard drives before upgrading?

HP Recommended

You're very welcome.

Sorry, I forgot to answer that part of your question,

Your notebook only has one M.2 SSD slot, so you will have to remove the 256 GB SSD and install the one you want to buy.

HP Recommended

Oh i see, that's unfortunate

This means i do have to back up my important stuffies to hard drives before replacing, right?

Do you have product recommendation that works well with my device?

HP Recommended

Yes, you would have to do that.

Alright then, if that's the case.

Thank you so much for using your time to answer some of these little questions i have in mind

Hope you have a great day ^^
