Hi ,
3.5mm is the standard size for notebooks, desktops and mobile devices. Have you tried connecting other headphones? Are the headphones getting stuck halfway?
Regards,
Joice.

Hello @sagarcasm101,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forum with your inquiry.
- "3.5mm is used by PC speakers, headphones, microphones/headsets, media players (because it's the common headphone jack size), etc. I have yet to see a laptop using anything other than this size for headphones." In link https://www.gamespot.com/forums/pc.../size-of-headphone-jack-on-a-laptop-26653838/.
In this document that discusses audio issues, you will see images of headphone jacks and this note:
- "Some devices use a mini jack connector. This smaller connector is not compatible with HP computers and you might need an adaptor in order to use your device. Also, using an adaptor might affect the quality of the audio. This does not mean that your computer has a problem." in link https://support.hp.com/emea_middle_east-en/document/c04474731#AbT1
Kind regards,
Patty-B

Hi,
Try pressing it little inside and verify whether the jack does not have any loose contact.
Try with different headphones.

Joice.
