I need to download photos from a camera scan disk but the USB does not fit any of the openings on my new HP Envy.  What adapter do I need?

That's kind of a hard question to answer when you didn't provide the full model number or product number of your notebook.

 

You can buy a USB-C to USB-A adapter and plug your device into that:
