@Vince_21,

HP specs for Victus 15-fa1000 series indicate that the series models support 16 GB (2x8 GB) DDR4-3200 memory.

If you are looking for more than 16 GB, click this link and run the wmic command for the max RAM capacity your model can handle.

If it reports 32 GB, your model likely supports 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 MHz memory.

I tried using your solution but my cmd says: "wmic is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"

Run command prompt as administrator and type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx  and hit Enter key. If it still doesn't work, I don't know what the problem could be.

As far as I know, there are no HP documents that indicate 15-fa1000 series support more than 16 GB (2x8 GB).

If you look at outside source, Crucial, for example, reports that 15-fa1xxx models support max 2x32 GB DDR4-3200 memory.

Unfortunately, not even this command worked in admin mode but thanks for your time anyway.
