Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop gave out.  I was having boot issues that I thought I had solved, only to have it not do anything this morning except emit 5 long and 3 short blinks.  So, I bought a new laptop (because I figured to have my original one repaired would cost too much).  But I thought to myself, hey check into the price of replacement motherboards for the laptop and make it a project to fix it yourself.

I found the part number for my laptop's motherboard - 924751-601.  They are way more expensive than I want to put into a project.  I am curious if there are compatible options that would work, but be more budget friendly (like less than $100...or even closer to $50 or less).  Where can I find that information?

You do not pay for new motherboard alone. You have to pay for

  • New motherboard,
  • New CPU,
  • New Windows license (you can't reuse old license)
  • New video card (if applicable)

Because all of them above are on one piece of hardware call System board such as part # 924751-601 that why it is expensive.

Regards.
