I recently changed out the hard drive on my HP Pavillion 17-ar050wm and when I had the laptop taken apart, I could see that my battery is all swollen and looking like it might even be dangerous soon. I need to figure out which battery I need to buy. I didn't want to have to take my laptop apart again until I have the battery to put in.

You really should remove the battery before the swelling battery damages other parts of the laptop. That has been known to happen.
