Recently I bought the HP Victus 15 (fb2063dx) and I wanna upgrade the ram from the 8gb to 16gb. I'm trying to get the actual specs of the ram that's on the laptop but on the task manager memory tab it says that the speed is 4800mhz and in the about tab in settings it says 5600mhz. Which one is the real speed?

The installed memory is DDR5-5600 modules but they are running at -4800 speed. Crucial specifies that either DDR5-5600 or DDR5-4800 modules may be installed.

You can find out everything about the memory in your computer and the max memory etc. from the command line as so:

That's why I suggest you run the command line memory tools to identify exactly which modules are in your computer and what speed they are running at. HP has not posted a service manual for your particular model series it only provides one for an earlier version in the same model line.

Hi!
The Victus 15-fb2063dx, according to its datasheet, has a single 8GB module running at 4800 speed. The reason is the CPU on this system. The 7535HS can only run a maximum of 64GB RAM at 4800 speed.
If you take a look at the datasheet for the whole 15-fb2000 series, it mentions 5600 max speed because some of the more powerful CPUs will clock the memory at that speed. For example, this video of the 15-fb2082wm with the 8645HS CPU clearly shows the 5600 RAM modules having 5600 "actual speed". In this case, these systems can also be upgraded to 96GB RAM, again due to the stronger CPU.
As mentioned above, HP uses modules according to availability, either 4800 or 5600. You won't be able to get speeds higher than 4800 due to the AMD processor hard limit....
