HP Envy
Microsoft Windows XP

A few months ago, I noticed that my HP Envy 17-inch touch would shut down within seconds of me unplugging the power supply. When I would plug it back in and power up, I would get an error message warning me that the storage capacity of my internal battery was extremely low, and that I would need to replace the battery for optimal performance.

Since then, I've been looking online but I can't seem to find a replacement battery for my specific brand of HP Envy. Also, even if I found one, the back of the laptop is factory sealed, so I'm not sure how I would replace it. Can any one point me in the right direction? I need my laptop for work so going without it for a day or two would be a struggle - I'd probably need to buy a new laptop before sending it in for repairs that could take 4-6 weeks. Is there a way to source the battery and do the installation at home?  I'd appreciate any advice on this.
