Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
I am looking to upgrade my laptop ram

HP pavilion G6-2132TX
Windows 7
64bit

It comes with 2gb and I added 4 GB ram so now total I have 6GB ram.

But i run virtual machines on this and it's very slow so planning to upgrade ram.

Anyone have any idea maximum how much ram this laptop supports.

Hi:

The max is 8 GB, so you can remove the 2 GB chip and replace it with the same brand 4 GB chip you added.

This will also allow the memory to run in DDR (dual data rate) mode, instead of the SDR (single data rate) that it is running in now, since the memory is not matched in capacity.
