HP Envy-17-bw0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Googling is zero help, the laptops in videos are either older models or not the same model of Envy so have different backs to this model.
My phillips screwdrivers don't work and tbh, they look a little like mini torx screws, which of course sods law means I don't have a corresponding screwdriver for!

But can anyone tell me what I need to remove the screws and get the back cover off so I can upgrade my RAM?  I have been through the HP site and it finds different models and  apparently people should just know what screwdriver it is because the official HP video on Youtube just goes straight into taking off the lid!!!

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06001790

Chapter 5, page 25 indicates what size the torx screws are that you have to remove from the bottom cover (T5).

You'll need to buy a torx driver kit that contains the sizes you need.
