Hi, I got my device from hp earlier on in the year and from the day I got it it had a problem with my integrated webcam which, while not debilitating, is a bit annoying and no matter how many times I troubleshoot, restart or do anything which is recommended in these cases. I didn't bother sending it back because I believed it was a software issue and it didn't affect me since I bought the device for my studies more than anything else so it wasn't a priority for me then but earlier today while I was going through control panel checking through the devices I came across the info on the integrated camera and when I checked it it said "This device cannot start. (Code 10)
STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE" and now I'm not sure what to do since I'm not sure this is covered under my two year guarantee from hp and I don't want to go broke trying to get it fixed as a student. I'd appreciate if someone can clarify whether this is covered in the two year guarantee or whether I should make a complaint about it somewhere because those are the only two options I have currently.

A code 10 means the device is no longer functional.
I suggest starting a warranty case with HP, but do realize that the repair could take a month or longer.
You will need to provide valid proof of purchase.
The alternative would be to purchase an external webcam that fits at the upper edge of the laptop's LCD display.
