I really hate to put up something so simple here!

Online I've seen a lot of ways to measure laptops but I have not found a clear answer for -

what size laptop backpack do I need to order?

I don't think the diagonal measurement of the screen has anything to do with the size needed in a backpack but it seems like every site I went to had diagonal measurement as step one or two!!

My laptop measures 15.6 inches wide. Do I just need a backpack for a 16 inch computer?

 

I appreciate your time and information for solving a mystery that the entire internet has still not found a simple answer for!
