I did a uefi diagnostics test and I got failure  code 0LXTXD-9PACMW-GXGKHF-40ET03, what do I do to fix this since my laptop is out of warranty, do I ask a shop do replace my hard drive?

My laptop also get very hot and I sometimes get error 90b when turning it on can this be due to the faulty hard drive or do I have to fix my laptop fans as well?

I own a HP ENVY X360 - 13-ar0505na

@alisha47,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Your error code identifies a faulty RAM stick: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/contact/diag?failureId=0LXTXD-9PACMW-GXGKHF-40ET03&productNo=6TC92EA#AB...: "HP Memory Test has identified a critical failure in your system that requires repair" and: "A memory module (RAM) is not working and may need to be replaced. Remove any added memory and re-test".

This means that if your laptop has one RAM stick, that needs to be replaced.  If your laptop has two RAM sticks, one is likely defective: remove one and see if the problem goes away: that is your faulty RAM stick.  If you still have the issue, repeat with the other RAM stick.

Of course, I am assuming that you would feel comfortable doing this yourself, if not, best to seek professional assistance.

The heat issue you described suggests to me that your HP ENVY X360 - 13-ar0505na (6TC92EA) probably needs to be cleaned/cleared of accumulated internal dust bunnies.  Have a local laptop repair/service business also check for cooling fan(s) function.

Kind Regards,
