Awesome! Again thanks so much and sorry for asking so many questions. It's my first time doing this, do you recommend having the same 8GB RAM as the one already installed on the PC or can it be a different RAM size? I hear mixed comments that the motherboard wouldn't accept/underperform if it's a 16 GB RAM stick by an 8 GB RAM stick. What are your thoughts on this?

You're very welcome.
It's very possible that your notebook will support 2 x 16 GB of memory, but since the service manual indicates the maximum memory is 2 x 8 GB, I recommend that you run this command first to see if it would be possible:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
If the report indicates you can install 32 GB of memory, this should be a compatible 16 GB memory chip.

The 24 GB would work but only run the memory in single channel mode.
In order for the memory to run in the higher performing dual channel mode, the memory has to be installed in matching capacities (2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB).
