Common problems for Battery

I can not seem to find what component the IEME relates to in this laptop. It is not the WNIC as that is an Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 which does not have 4g capabilities. Some help would be great.

Hi:

The IMEI number would belong to the mobile broadband (WWAN) adapter, if your notebook is so equipped.

If we do not have a detachable mobile broadband adapter why is there an IMEI attached. If the adapter is integrated into the mother board, how would I identify that part?IMG_20200710_145525.jpg

The WWAN adapter would not be an integral part of the motherboard.

The 640 G1 model series could have come with a WWAN adapter since it was listed as optional equipment.

It would be a removable component with antenna cables attached to it just like the wifi adapter.

If you are not the original owner of the notebook, perhaps the WWAN adapter was removed.

Since I do not work for or represent HP, I would have no idea why an IMEI number was assigned to your notebook, and suggest you direct your inquiry to the HP Executive Team at the link below.
