I believe this MSATA1 port will accept a Samsung EVO 860 SSD. If so, is there a limit to the capacity of the SSD?
Here's the port:
Internal MSATA Port
Here's the SSD:
Samsung M2 SSD
Appreciate some expert help with this.

Hi:
Below is the link to the Crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook.
https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP---Compaq/envy-x360-m6-aq003dx
Crucial indicates you can go as much as a 1 TB drive.
Below is the link to the service manual. Looks like HP only offered M.2 SATA SSD's up to 256 GB.

I had looked at the manual and, since it covers a few versions of the x360 m6, I wasn't sure. Crucial, I've gone to those guys for memory lots of times but would disregard the drives.
Thank you for pointing me back to them. I'm guessing that the HP 256GB limitation was based on optional configurations that they had offered for this 2-in-1.
Again, THANKS!!

You're very welcome.
Yes, the 256 GB is not the limit, just what HP decided to offer.
When you start throwing in big capacity drives and huge amounts of memory, no one wants to pay the huge price tag that comes with those kind of configurations.
It is just a shame that it is pretty difficult to open these new thin and light notebooks to get to the parts.
I wish they would bring back service doors/access panels to get to the drives, memory and wifi.
