Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Specs:

 

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.93 Hz e7500

Motherboard: HP 3646h, Intel Q45/Q43, Socket 775 LGA

 

Any input would be appreciated

Hi:

 

I have always been of the mindset to go big or go home.

 

Below is the link to the quickspecs for your PC's model series.

 

The supported processors can be found on pages 7 & 8.

IMO, you should max it out with the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 Processor, which is supported in the SFF and CMT models.

You're very welcome.

 

You shouldn't have to reinstall W10.

 

W10 should automatically make adjustments for the different processor.
