Hi, I wish to upgrade the RAM & add an external graphics card so I can play high end games. Would I be able to upgrade the RAM and graphics card on this laptop (HP Laptop 14s) if I have enough slots or externally?

Which 14-d2000 laptop do you have? I see a list of many specific laptops that are in the 14-d2000 model series.
External graphics for laptops
If your laptop has USB4, Type-C Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 2, your laptop/PC supports eGPU.
As far as I can tell without the product number, your laptop does not have support for Thunderbolt, so external graphics (eGPU) is not going to work with your laptop.
When you do not identify your desktop or laptop PC with its specific product name or product number(SKU), you tie our hands behind our backs.
Help us to help you.
When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key once.
That will open the Windows run dialogue
Type in msinfo32 and press enter.
The ninth line is the SKU and the HP product number. Kindly post it in your next reply in your thread.
The System SKU/Product ID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your notebook.

I thought I explained that since your laptop does not have the qualifying requirement, an eGPU (external graphics) is not an option.
With a higher spec laptop it would be.
