Hi @Mani626462,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue — I know how concerning it can be when your laptop suddenly won’t turn on properly.

From what you've described:

  • Pressing the power button briefly turns the power light on, then it shuts off
  • Plugging in the charger shows a white charging light

This usually points to a hardware initialization issue, which could be related to the battery, memory (RAM), internal connections, or a firmware-level fault.

Let’s Try These Steps to Troubleshoot:

🔋 1. Perform a Hard Reset (Power Drain)

This clears static electricity that may be preventing the system from powering on.

👉 If your battery is non-removable:

  1. Unplug the charger
  2. Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds
  3. Reconnect the charger
  4. Try powering on

👉 If your battery can be removed:

  1. Remove the battery and unplug the charger
  2. Hold down the power button for 15–20 seconds
  3. Reinstall the battery, plug in the charger, and try powering on again

2. Attempt a BIOS Recovery

Sometimes the system may not boot due to BIOS corruption.

  1. Plug in the charger
  2. Hold down the Windows + B keys, then press and hold the power button for 2–3 seconds
  3. Continue holding Windows + B for about 10 seconds, then release
  4. Watch for any changes, such as the screen turning on, the fan spinning, or blinking lights

If successful, the system will enter BIOS recovery mode and attempt to restore firmware.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
