HP Pavillion Laptop  On opening there is a black screen saying there is a battery issue and go to HP Tech Centre.

Have tried several times but unable to find a link that would assist.  My battery indicator shows that it is almost

empty although it was full when switching off in the evening.  It charges up correctly during the daytime.

My laptop is left in the conservatory which is quite cold at night.  Is this the problem.

I am unable to obtain a telephone number for HP Technical Support - Why ?

Storing or using a laptop in a very cold atmosphere can degrade the battery life. From your situation it seems that it can be an outdated driver problem. What you can do is run a Battery Test to check battery health.
If your device is out of warranty, it may be harder to get free phone support. You can submit a support request as well.
