OMEN by HP - 17-an011na

Hi, I need a replacement battery (ref 922976-855 - 12 PIN) but I cannot find a bona-fide supplier. I live in France and have tried HP recommended resellers but they either do not stock, or have just ignored my email.  Can anyone please recommend a company tnat will supply a retail customer a genuine HP battery in the UK, or Europe. many thanks.

In case anyone else is searching for the same battery I found this company based in Germany (see link below). It was delivered within a couple of days of placing the order, so wasn't shipped from China (they state that returns are to Germany, which is important given return shipping to China is about €70). The battery looks like a genuine HP as claimed and the 12 PIN connector fitted my laptop. Just charging it up on the laptop now.

Thank you. Unfortunately, the battery is not a genuine HP. It is a compatible.

Hello @dawnwatcher

You have no other choice. By the way, almost all batteries are made in China and even HP has several suppliers. Replacement batteries work just as well. Decide for yourself.

Kind regards

Yes, I guess they are all made in China like everything else these days ;). Just had a bad experience with a French company that turned out to be based in the Netherlands and was merely a shop front for counterfeit goods shipped directly from China. The battery didn't fit my laptop and was dangerous. Had to ship it back to China at a cost of nearly €70 which, thankfully, PayPay covered along with purchase price. I have found a German company that claim to be selling a genuine battery but am cautious. Good to know that you recommend the supplier though. Shame HP Resellers are not more helpful. Thanks once again.

Hello @dawnwatcher

Great to hear, but overdosed price (in my opinion)

I paid €70 for a cheaply made, dangerous, counterfiet. Compatibles are the same price. An original always costs more than a compatible. And, it looks like the company is good. It is just a shame that HP support is so poor that they leave you to the mercy of the sharks selling in this arena!

Hello @dawnwatcher

There are enough posts on the forum describing how even original HP batteries are not of good quality and lose capacity and swell prematurely. Even the runtimes stated by the manufacturer (in hours) are often fantasy specifications.

Anyway, good luck

Kind regards
