Hi guys,
I've just purchased a Pavilion ce0505sa with a measly 8GB RAM. I'd like to upgrade it to 16GB/32GB
I belive the i7 can support 32GB in this configuration but Crucial seem to think 16GB is the maximum.
Can anyone tell me where I can find a service manual? specifically for the purposes of a RAM upgrade (possibly SSD in the future)
And if anyone can shed any light on the 16/32GB conundrum that would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Hal

Please use manuals for the whole series
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-14-ce0000-laptop-pc/20283999/manuals
The second one is the one you are looking for. Page 2 says it has
One SODIMM memory module slot, non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable. Supports up to 16-GB of system memory
Regards.

Some HP notebooks have a service cover and explicitly support end-user RAM upgrades - this is found in many of the business ranges. The "non-upgradeable" systems are usually possible to upgrade to another supported configuration for that range - it is just that the level of dismantling involved means HP regard this as an service centre only procedure.
Any time you open your system is at your own risk.
