I need to replace one of the silicone/rubber strips on the bottom of my laptop, but canot find any information as to where or how I might go about replacing the strip.

HP Parts nor your Maintenance Manual give a replacement part number for the strips. You may have to improvise unless you're willing to replace the entire bottom case-if you could find one on ebay.
A recent poster whose laptop has round rubber bumpers ended up using clear silcone bumper pads sold on Amazon. Not as elegant but served his purpose.

Hi @CherylG ,
Thought I would bump into the thread ( it has been a long time )
I like the idea of searching for something similar which might be able to be used. Looking a little I came across these which might do the job (maybe 2 next to each other) as you can see many Customer reviews (mainly HP ) have tried it.
Regards,
David

Hi. Has been awhile-I haven't been on much lately. Improvising has always been an idea that appeals to me. Guy on the other thread seemed pleased enough with his idea. 😊
Did you mean to leave a link for another you found? Or you simply like his idea?

Yes @CherylG, I forgot the link.
I also like improvising. I was just working on a smartphone and was thinking about how technology is getting more sophisticated all the time and in a way eliminating the art of improvising. It is becoming remove/replace. (Naturally, not the rubber strips )
Anyway, I hope all is well and to see you around in the Community. (I swear I will be good )
Best wishes,
David
