HP OMEN 16-XD0404NO
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello!

I am a new gaming laptop user and have found my new bought HP Omen to struggle with Ram capacity.

Atm I have 2x 8 gb ddr5-5600 mhz RAM and I want to upgrade to 2x 16 gb.

Is that possible and what should I search for? Ive read somewhere I have to search for SO Dim ram. But are all so Dim ram in same size and are there any better ram manufactures than others or?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

Richard

Hi, Richard:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information.

Your notebook has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 16 GB of DDR5-5600 memory.

SODIMM memory is a term commonly used for notebook memory and DIMM is commonly used for desktop PC memory.

Some desktop PC's use SODIMM memory but no notebooks use DIMM memory.

If you can get this memory in Denmark, they indicate it is compatible with your notebook:

Crucial 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5-5600 SODIMM | CT2K16G56C46S5 | Crucial.com
