Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Cant seem to find where is the kensington lock slot on my HP 17 CN-2238st laptop. Only USB slots , headphone  and power accesses. Can someone please help .

According to chapters 1 & 2 of the service manual the model series does not have a Kensington lock slot.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide

 

My HP Envy notebook made in 2020 does not have one either.

 

I don't believe that many if any, notebooks have that feature nowadays.

Hi,

Thanks for your message. So what would you suggest is the solution if we travel alot and want to bring our laptop and leave in the hotel ? Any other ways to lock a laptop without a Kensington lock slot ? I saw some ads for a " stick on " the back of your IPAD  with a cable/lock. Dont know if these work or hold for a laptop ?  Any advice and/or other suggestions ?

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with securing PC's from theft or what's available when there is no Kensington lock slot, so I recommend that you start a new discussion on that.
