Where to get new battery for 15-AY007TX Notebook?

Where can I buy authentic battery for my HP 15-au007tx notebook in India? The replacement type printed on the original battery is HS-04 (4-cell). I tried it on Amazon, but I received a fake battery. I want a genuine HP battery.

Hello Erico,

Thanks for referring me to the HP manual - that was helpful. However the battery link you've posted is not the correct model for my laptop. Anyway, using the HP manual reference I will check if I can get a new battery for my laptop. The biggest problem is that HP does not sell these batteries and the batteries purchased from open market are frequently fake ones.

The part number I posted is from the manual and is for your laptop series.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you use the correct part number when you make a purchase.

What you do not understand is that HP does not manufacture the batteries.

If a laptop is recent, a replacement battery can sometimes be purchased through the online HP storefront.

HP is in the business of designing laptops and desktop PC. HP's manufacturing and assembly plants are located in China, Thailand and Mexico.

HP Engineers write the specification documents for all of the components required for a laptop or desktop PC and put out a request for bids in the manufacturing marketplace.

Battery manufacturers who make batteries that meet HP exacting specifications whose batteries are accepted as components by HP are permitted to place the HP label on their batteries.
