Hello,

 

My HP Omen Obelisk Desktop 875-1130, Product #: 5QB64AA#ABA, came with 16gb of RAM installed.  I would like to add another 16gb.  Which Dimm slot should I use?  All four slots are red.  It is dual channel capable, so I would like to take advantage of this feature.  Any suggestions?

For dual channel put the modules in alternate slots.

 

It is recommended that you replace the original memory modules as well unless you manage to purchase memory modules that are absolutely identical in all respects.

 

Did it come with a single 16 GB module or with two 8 GB modules?

Thank you for the advice!  My computer came with 1 16gb module.  I plan to buy an exact match, although I know that "exact" may have been built using different parts.  I will skip a slot when installing a second 16gb module.  Thanks again!  Have a great day!
