Hi @Anjimart,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you are having trouble getting your pen to work properly with your HP OmniBook X Flip 16-ar0003ns laptop. Let’s go through a few steps to ensure you’re using a compatible stylus and get it working correctly.

Use a Compatible Stylus

Your laptop supports Microsoft Pen Protocol 2.0 (MPP 2.0).

Recommended HP pens include:

HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen – supports pressure sensitivity and tilt.

HP Active Pen G3 (1MR94AA#UUF) – precise input with customizable buttons.

Third-party pens may not work correctly if they don’t support MPP 2.0.

Check Battery or Charge

Ensure the pen has a fresh battery or is fully charged if it’s rechargeable.

Low power can cause intermittent or no input.

Update Drivers

Make sure your Windows system, touch, and pen drivers are up to date.

Go to Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update and check for updates.

Enable Pen Support

Open Settings → Devices → Pen & Windows Ink.

Ensure options like “Press and hold” or “Show visual effects” are enabled.

Calibrate the Touchscreen

Press Windows + S → Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input → Calibrate.

Follow the on-screen instructions to improve accuracy.

Test in Different Apps

Try using the pen in Windows Ink Workspace, Paint, or OneNote to confirm functionality.

Some third-party apps may not support pen input fully.

Check Pen Settings in HP Software

If your laptop has HP Pen Control or HP Touch Tools, make sure the pen is recognized and configured correctly.

Restart the Laptop

After making changes, restart your laptop to ensure all settings take effect.

I hope this helps.
