Hello,
I wanted to ask a question that what type of SSD should I use for M.2 slot I have in my hp laptop.
Here is the image of M.2 slot for SSD☝☝!!!!
There are several types like PCIe SSD and NVME SSD. But I am not clear whether what type of SSD should I go for.
My laptop is like 2-3 years old and it's performance has been going decreasing. More than half of time it's disk usage is stucked at 100%. So I wondered that SSD can solve this issue. The SSD amazon link I want to upgrade my laptop with is here: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B091CDHK2K/ref=syn_sd_onsite_desktop_23?uh_it=078d156e2f99e8b361d90c236f45a...
Please check this and tell me if my choice is correct or not!!
Thanking You!!

You can't use that one. The M.2 Slot only accepts SATA type M.2 SSD. Like this:
I know there are 3 prongs on the SATA M.2 SSD and the slot has two chambers. It will fit and work. Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Its the design of the motherboard. M.2 is just the type of slot. It can be connected directly into the CPU in which case NVME will work or if connected to the peripheral SATA bus only SATA will work. Yours is the latter.
