Dear Team,

 

I would like to understand which SSD would support my PC so that I can improve my PC performance. Its very slow as of now, would take around 10-15 mins for PC to start initial task

 Would below SSD's work let me know which all would work

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual.

 

Chapter 1 has the supported drive types, and chapter 6 has the M.2 SSD removal and replacement procedure.

 

If your notebook has a M.2 slot, it supports SATA M.2 SSD's only not NVMe.

 

I suggest that you open the PC and check to make sure the slot is there.

 

On many notebooks that old, the M.2 slot was only included if the notebook came with a M.2 SSD from the factory.

 

You need a M.2 drive like this:

 

Amazon.com: Western Digital 250GB WD Blue SA510 SATA Internal Solid State Drive SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/...

 

If you find that your notebook does not have a M.2 slot, then you can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.
