- I don't have a battery or charger for my laptop/notebook how can I find part numbers for these? I went to specifications and it does not list a battery part number or voltage or Amps and it only says the charger is 45W it doesn't list a part number or voltage or Amps. I went to the HP laptop battery finder but my device model # wasn't on there. And the part surfer just says "No where used parts" when i enter my model #. So how do I find the part numbers for the battery and the charger?

Thank you very much. That's so weird cuz I went to the part surfer and put in my model number cuz on the HP website it couldn't recognize my computer from just the product number. I had to enter the serial number too and then it gave me my model number and some info. So on part surfer I just entered the model number and it said "No where used parts" and that was it. Kinda strange. Anyway thank you again this was very helpful. PS I'm accepting it as the answer to my question but there's no "KUDOS thumbs up" anywhere to click on....? I did click that it was helpful though too.

- Ya I tried that but my device isnt under warranty so I would have had to pay to talk to customer support. Whats messed up is my model # isn't listed on battery finder or part surfer but it is on HP website but my battery and charger info isn't listed on HP website. And my product # is apparently listed on part surfer but I didn't try it cuz it's not listed on HP website. No consistency anywhere with HP. A lot of their chargers and devices work for multiple models but finding out which ones exactly cross over can be a chore especially if you can't find the part number.

Ya it's ridiculous that the battery and charger info isn't just right in the specs on HP support website. Also I had the product number right on the laptop but the HP website doesn't recognize it by itself and I had to go to the website just to find the freaking model number cuz it isn't printed anywhere on the laptop. It's like a giant circle jerk. Unnecessarily frustrating and tedious and just plain retarded.
