Hello folks, my hp laptop pre-installed a Samsung 4GB 1Rx16 PC4-2666V Ram. Can I put ADATA Premier 8GB DDR4 2666Mhz SO-DIMM on the remaining vacant slot?

Yes but mixing a 4gb and an 8 gb will mean it is not running in dual channel mode. Also both modules will downclock to DDR4-2400 which is the system speed, regardless. Seriously, adding a second 4 gb module will for most computer uses perform just as well as a 4 g + an 8 gb, but the 8 gb would work. Not sure why HP put a 2666 module in as specs say the memory runs at 2400 not 2666. But again, it is fine and you can add another 4 or 8 gb 2666 module.
