hello,
I have an HP 15bs0xx, Bios F.70.
I have ordered two M.2 SSDs so far, both of which are incompatible. I would like to know which internal SSD would work... I want to keep the HDD for storage so do not want a 2.5".
I have opened my laptop and it has an M.2 slot which looks like PCIe, so it has two notches, not 3 (Sata?). The first SSD I got was a blue WD with Sata so I couldn't even insert it. The second I got was a Samsung NVMe PCIe and after inserting the laptop didnt boot at all, once I took it out it worked perfectly again... According to the HP manual for my model I should get an M.2 SATA (GNRC SSD 512GB 2280M2 SATA-3 TLC Jaguars ) but as I said, Sata does not insert since the motherboard has a PCIe. What can I do?
thank you,
Adina

What is the processor that is installed?
It would help if you provided the SKU or HP product number of your laptop instead of the generic identification from the bottom of the notebook.
When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key once.
That will open the Windows run dialogue
Type in msinfo32 and press enter.
The ninth line is the SKU and also the HP product number. Kindly post it in your next reply in your thread.
The System SKU/Product ID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your notebook.

You have an HP 15-bs015dx laptop.
The Maintenance & Service guide (for parts reference and specification information)
https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05493257.pdf
It is compatible with NVMe and SATA3 TLC M.2 (NGFF) 2280 SSD products.
The HP 763008-017 SATA3 TLC M.2 (NGFF) that is listed in the manual has the very same B+M slotted card.
The M.2 SSD cards that will not fit have a single slot.
The card at the hyperlink is a SATA M.2 SSD and it has B+M slots
