Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was wondering which laptops that have either 8, 12, or 16 GB of RAM could have their memory upgradeable to 32 GB of RAM. Otherwise, I assume how much memory is specified when looking up the computer is the maximum capacity.

Generally laptops with Intel Core 6th gen and higher processors using DDR4 memory can utilize 32 gigs of RAM if there are two memory slots. So we can't provide a long list we can answer about specific models.

Can you give me an example of some of your 2020 models that only have 8, 12, and 16 GB respectively? These examples should be upgradeable to 32 GB RAM.

I don't work for HP. This is a Forum for user to user. If you find a specific model ask me abvout it and I will tell you if it can be upgraded to 32 gigs. For most users, upgrade beyond 16 gigs is a waste of money.
