My Laptop is currently running on an i3-4000m but I am thinking of replacing it with an  i7-4702MQ.

And also, does the discrete graphics chip come with the motherboard or do I have to purchase it separately?

The specs of your machine is

Your machine uses part # 713255-501 for system board. You should be able to use part # 713256-501 but you would need 90W Charger part # 710413-001 because your old 65W is less power to run .
