Hey guys, so I'm planning to upgrade my laptop to SSD and use the HDD in caddy but I don't know my DVD Rom thickness. Please help. Thank you.

BEFORE you spend any money, you should know this is a BAD idea.  Why? Because the bus connection for the optical drive is low speed, and when you connect a drive to it, that drive will crawl along at a very slow rate, making it all but useless.  The optical drive bus is not designed to support a fast device like an HDD.

No, I was thinking of changing my HDD to SSD, and my old HDD to the optical drive.

OK, I understand but you need to be prepared for that to work poorly, if at all -- because the optical drive connection is not designed for the throughput needed for an HDD.
